| Found at southern end of Alsace lying between the Rhine River and Vosques Mountains, Mulhouse grew to today’s proportions from a single mill around which a few houses were built, and from those humble beginnings round about 803 it became the industrial capital of Alsace. This big sprawling metropolis is quite frankly an industrial city and not really designed for seekers of yesteryear and ancient buildings, but it does have a certain charm and some really excellent museums. |
